I like to get the 2x2x2 and save one pancake for later. Oh, also, the coffee is good and they usually have a special flavor of the day. ”
“ I've now been to Dad's twice and both times, despite the wait for a table, have been great! The biggest thing about Dad's is that wait - this is a very popular spot! We have only been here for breakfast and we have waited 30 minutes for a table before. Also take note: if you are meeting someone at Dad's for a meal, they will NOT seat you until everyone in your party is present. If they are spectacularly busy, be prepared to wait a bit for your order to be ready as well. In my opinion, it is worth it. The first time I visited Dad's, I got the Hungarian pancake. It is a pancakes, layered with cinnamon and walnuts before being rolled up. It is delicious! Add a bit of maple syrup and it's even better! The second time, I got an egg, spinach and tomato dish with homefries and wheat toast. We also got a hot chocolate. The egg, spinach and tomato hit exactly right spot and the home fries were cooked very well. The hot chocolate was piled high with whipped cream and a cherry on top. This is a spot I expect to come to fairly often whenever I'm in town. It has the vibe that a local Hotspot can have - all it needs are the older men sitting in the corner discussing what's wrong with the world today. ”
